PDE12
PDE12 is a negative regulator of the OAS/RNase L antiviral pathway, as demonstrated by Wood et al. (2015)[1]. This function positions PDE12 as a key modulator in innate immune responses against viral infections. Additionally, pathogenic variants in PDE12 have been linked to neonatal mitochondrial disease due to impaired mitochondrial RNA processing, as reported by Van Haute et al. (2024)[2]. These findings highlight the critical role of PDE12 in both antiviral defense and mitochondrial homeostasis.
